Dogs and Spanish Omelette
THIS ARTICLE WAS USED FOR MADRID FILM SLAM 2020. IT IS NOT FACTUALLY ACCURATE !
Is it OK to feed your dog Spanish Omelette? Seriously, you shouldn’t even be asking this question. Everyone should know Spanish Omelette is potentially lethal to dogs! So why ever year do we find the vets overrun with cases of this highly dangerous food consumed by innocent canines? Ignorance and cruelty are the only reasons that come to this authors mind. Trust me, when I say that Spanish Omelette is WORSE THAN CHOCOLATE. Many people think that the established scientific studies into dog-food toxicity are over-amplified by dog food companies, eager to maximise profits. Let me tell you, this is an insult to established science and the pet food industry as a whole. Don’t believe how serious the problem is? — let’s take a look at some pictures:
This dog’s stomach was so badly damaged from Spanish Omelette that the only thing it could eat for the rest of its shortened days was biscuit crumbs.
And then there’s this poor chap.
After eating a single portion of Spanish Omelette, this dog’s appetite was permanently diminished to a point where even the most tempting dishes were refused.
So what is that makes Spanish Omelette so dangerous to dogs? Well, the report came out but the evidence was inconclusive. It seems that each ingredient in isolation or in certain combinations is completely benign to our canine friends. Prior to the research, it was postulated that when the ingredients are combined, a molecular change occurs between the egg white and a chemical in the onions called syn-propanethial-S-oxide. What is “syn-propanethial-S-oxide” ? This is the chemical that makes you cry when peeling onions. However, the research proved that when onions and eggs are mixed in any other format, the resulting composite is completely safe for dogs to consume. This has led some to believe that Spanish Omelettes made incorrectly, or for different human dietary requirements, may be safe for canine consumption.
NOTE: If you’ve got this far reading this crap and believed it, sorry but it was pure fictional garbage written for Madrid #48hourfilmslam 2020.
